In this video, we discuss about the types of the patent applications that can be filed with the Indian patent office. These are an ordinary application, a convention application, an international patent application (PCT) and a national phase application. We also discussed about the priority date, timelines and terms of such applications.

In the second half of the video, we discuss the concepts around Divisional application as per section 16 and patents of addition as per section 54,55 and 56. The questions such why to file, when to file and how to file are addressed. Also, the specification requirements, examination process and terms of these applications are discussed.
